good afternoon parents family friends and teachers and students when I saw this Familia we are so proud of your accomplishments you are coming to an end of one Journey but of course the beginning of a much larger one A New Journey awaits you filled with challenges and Adventures these last months of 8th grade here have him full of uncertainty but rest assured that the teachers have worked endlessly to prepare you virtually for High School this year the Year of the pandemic the year of civil unrest in Ark may not be what you envisioned but I'm eager to see what you will do with it after all it is still very much your year you are the class of 2020 you are resilient and Innovative you have the power to make the mo out of this unfortunate situation you have proven that you can handle that versity change and Independence continue on this path give community and family from YouTube because you provide home for the future Junior Riders thank you for being part of our lives and thank you for being part of each other's Journey you have each breath something very special to Hollenbeck Middle School you will be missed but we are so cited for your future remember to be kind to one another to have been selected as valedictorian for the class of 2020 I would like to thank my family and teachers for helping me on my path of education and I would like to thank the other teachers and parents as well for helping their students and their occupation I want to congratulate all of you who have worked so hard to culminate this year and I couldn't work even harder next year it's crazy how we only just started school and we're already leaving these years have gone by in the blink all the memories of Middle School both good and bad will be something nice to look back on as the years passed on I remember the first day that I came here I was extremely scared and nervous a new place experience is bound to get you question me how it's going to be the first week was very confusing for me because I didn't really know where all the places were I'll be walking around with a map of it and asking people where the rooms were overall I enjoyed my two years here will have many fond memories with this experience I've been able to be part of the band and make some new friends and acquaintances some have left for the short time that I've got to know them but others have been here so Thursday and looking back I have no regrets Quincy High School is going to be another new experience for the others are going to 9th grade I myself look forward to being part of the steam magnet because I'm really interested in engineering I am also interested in the topic of science I would like to be able to someday make a discovery or something along the lines I will help suicide but I engineering interest me because I do like doing stuff cotton balls building but I'm still not quite sure what I want to be and hopefully I'll be able to make up my mind soon enough but apart from score the world has gone into chaos there has been a new virus that you're all very familiar with that has clothes places cancelled events and change Life as we know it at least quarantine is almost over so I'm sure we won't die aboard and just yet still I like to leave the negativity out of the way and focus on the positive side of things at last the point want to get here to get through here today is to not let your opportunities pass by by that I mean to grasp any opportunity and take advantage of it if you see a chance to help you improve in any way shape or form what have you got to lose not taking shots at life will leave you regretting your choices later on and I know that it's true and if you don't you could be thinking back wondering if what you did was the right choice so
