STEMM MAGNET are interdisciplinary, standards based, inquiry-based, and real world problem-based programs that teach students about STEMM-related subjects. These programs are geared to the student’s interest in science, computer technology, and mathematics.

Hollenbeck Middle School STEMM Magnet program success depends on a personalized learning environment, experiential and experimental learning, development of critical thinking skills, student choice, mastery through exhibition, alternative forms of assessment, inquiry-based learning models, targeted intervention, enrichment, parent-teacher collaboration, and parent training.

 

Hollenbeck Middle School STEM Medical Magnet will prepare students to be college and career ready with an emphasis in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and Medicine. Through a stimulating and challenging academic curriculum, and a commitment to the social and emotional well being of our students, Hollenbeck STEMM Medical Magnet strives to inspire socially responsible and passionate, educated leaders, able to meet the challenges of the 21st Century, and in the process create a positive change in the Boyle Heights community.
